Final Evaluation post 13/02/20
From the beginning of the project i had some concepts onto what to include where some of the ideas were to include a Cyberpunk theme ideology where there would be a human to which you can attach external parts to modify it or to focus on a real city and their perspective onto how they believe/aim to look like in the future. Due to time restraint i have chosen the latter as for me it seemed more straight forward of an idea. Ultimately, creating something like a selling point for the city onto what they think they will achieve in specific time period.
Furthermore, throughout the project i have encountered many problems one which was linking the Go Back button to redirect to places i wanted to go to.It was difficult to troubleshoot this problem because software didn't recognize it as an issue therefore didn't post an error so i had to reverse engineer the problem. Another problem i have encountered throughout the project was the twinkling stars i wanted/was aiming to achieve this could have been achieved through many ways. The way which i resorted to was to include many little dots that would run over the picture of the starfield. This has made an illusion as if the stars are twinkling.
In addition, i was working under pressure and have tried to put in every idea and polish the work as much as i could this was because at the beginning of the project we were given a week to finish this project. However, later on the project was extended by one week implying that we had more time to polish it and make it perfect. I think it was crucial to have the project extended because it allowed us to actually finish the project rather than hand in what would be looking like a draft of the ideas/concepts.
Furthermore, i have chosen Dubai as the potential city of The future this is because it seemed to me that their ideas/perspectives seemed to be most realistic as well as they have the capital to potentially make this happen. Which is more optimistic and potential than if other countries would propose such ideas.
Lastly, if i had to do this project again or if would have more time to improve it i would probably spend more time on adding in more animation to the piece as it would make it more interactive and maybe work a bit more on the user experience to make sure that the viewer knows what are they looking at. As well as i would probably include more "pages" to make sure that there is a wider content available to them rather than the four pages that are widely available.
